I found the most adorable crocheted butterflies. My Grandma loves purple butterflies. I've never been able to find a pattern that I like for butterflies, but now I won't have to. Black and Cream Adult Color-Stranded Skull Cap with Skull and Crossbones

This spectacular skull cap has color-stranded skull and crossbones all the way around it. It fits snugly on an adult male head. It will stay on the adult male head when riding on the freeway on a motorcycle. It is slightly looser on the female head but will still stay on. It is made from 100 percent acrylic yarn. It is machine wash and dry friendly. No ironing. No bleach.

I first made this cap as a gift for a dirty Santa game that my friends and I always play at Christmas. Our version is dirty because of the hot competition over the items and the resulting theft of said items, not because of the gifts being terrible. My friends were very supportive of the work that I had done and the competition was fierce. After the game was over another friend asked me to make her one as well. I think that all of my friends that wanted one of these hats now has one.

My husband loved the hat so much I had to make him one for Christmas also, where my cousin saw it. Then my cousin wanted one. I guess at this point if I had been selling to friends and family I'd have done pretty well with just this hat. My cousin loves it because it stays on really well when he's motorcycling. He said that he tried several different hats over the years and this is the only one that really works for him. Since I use the color-stranding technique it is really warm also.

6 Months to 12 Months Pink Hat with Star

This adorable pink hat has a cute little star on it for the little cutie that puts a twinkle in your eye. It is made of 100 percent acrylic yarn. It is 17 inches in circumference and 1 ounce in weight. It is machine wash and dry friendly. No ironing. No bleach.

This hat came about because I was looking at 16 bit video games and trying to come up with cool things to put on knitted and crocheted items. I used duplicate stitch to add the star after the hat was completed. I'm sure if you think about it you'll be able to figure out which video game this came from. You know the one with the Italian brothers.

Newborn to 6 Months Pink Camouflage Skull Cap

This cute little hat is made from worsted weight Redheart acrylic pink camouflage yarn. It has cute little curls at the top. It is knitted and handmade. It is 14 inches in circumference and weighs 1.1 ounces. It is machine wash and dry friendly. No ironing. No bleach.

When making this hat I was trying to find the right balance of stitches and rows to make a newborn skullcap. When I got to the end I noticed that I had only 8 stitches left and that the hat would look really cute with curls. I decided to use the natural ability of a single crochet row to curl on itself and added a few curls of different lengths. I really love the way it turned out.

For the punk parent in you this handmade, knitted, black and cream skullcap with skull and crossbones on it is a must have for your preemie or newborn. It is made of 100 percent acrylic yarn. It is machine wash and dry friendly. No ironing. No bleach.

I have a much larger version of this hat for adults, but I thought that I might as well try to make one that would make a baby look cool also. I was trying to adapt a pattern for a general preemie/newborn hat but discovered that it was a lot longer than I thought it was. Consequently, this hat ended up being more of a traditional fold over hat. I think the skull and crossbones still make it really cool.

Black and Gray Necklace Set with Bird Pendant

This lovely black and gray handmade set includes a necklace, bracelet and earrings. The necklace has a pendant on it that is a bird carved out of sea shell. The pendant hangs 2 inches from the strand. The necklace is 26 inches long and weighs 1.1 ounces. The bracelet is 8.5 inches long and weighs 0.2 ounces. The earrings hang 1.75 inches from ear piercing and weigh 0.1 ounce for the set. The beads are all plastic. The lobster clasp on the necklace and the toggle closure on the bracelet are hypoallergenic stainless steel. The hooks on the earrings are silver.

When looking for my next project I came across the bird pendant that is in this necklace. I really loved the pendant, so, I looked for beads to go with it. I found the package of mixed beads that I used in this set. When I got the package I was only thinking that I would make a necklace, but it turned out that I had plenty of beads for the bracelet and earrings. I really love this set.

Blue Marble Earrings with Silver Hooks

These earrings are made with stainless steel rings and wire, silver hooks and a captured blue marble. They are for pierced ears. They hang 2.5 inches from ear piercing. They are 0.3 ounces for the set.

I made this set to go with a lovely blue dress shirt that I have. It has blue, sliver, white and black spots on it. I could never find earrings that I really liked with it. I liked these so much I made an extra pair.

Three Strand Glass Bead Purple and Pink Necklace

This necklace is made of pink and purple glass beads. It has a stainless steel hypoallergenic lobster clasp closure. It is 19.5 inches long and weighs 1.4 ounces.

This necklace was supposed to have a layered effect. You can still see the effect when you put the necklace out straight but the layers were just a little to close to the same length to get the effect that I was going for when it is on. It was still really cute the way it was, so, I decided to leave it as it came out instead of starting over again.

Short Pull Through Hole Knitted Scarf

This lovely little handmade knit scarf is 26 inches long. The hole for pulling through the other end of the scarf is 5 inches from the end. It is 6 inches wide. At 0.8 ounces you will hardly know this scarf is there except for the warmth. This scarf is designed for use as a small neck warmer to be worn in slightly cool temperatures or as a flirty little scarf during the spring or fall to set off that perfect outfit. It is made from Red Heart Symphony yarn in the color Redwood. It is 100 percent acrylic but is brushed to have a mohair look and feel. It is very easy to care for since it can be put in the washer and dryer for clean up. However since this is acrylic yarn do not iron it. There is a slight roll to the edges of the piece that is part of the design and does not need to be ironed flat.

Soft yarn makes me happy, thus I loved working with this yarn. I had seen a scarf similar to this in a book that I borrowed from the library. I was trying to recreate the feel of that scarf in this one.

Multi-Colored Brown Crocheted Long Thin Scarf

This crocheted scarf is what is you mean when you say long and thin. It is 101 inches long, yes that is 8 foot 5 inches. It is 2.5 inches wide. It weighs 3.8 ounces. It goes from a beautiful dark brown through all the shades it can manage to a lovely cream color. It is made from Red Heart Super Saver yarn in the color of Shaded Browns. It has curved ends. It is 100 percent acrylic. It is machine wash and dry friendly. No ironing since this is acrylic yarn and will melt.

I made this scarf one night at a friends house. We got together to crochet. I was trying to teach her some new crochet stitches. I had forgotten to bring the pattern book that we were going to work out of, so, I made this one up on the fly. It seems to have turned out pretty good.

Knitted Long Thin Cameo Truffles Scarf

This beautiful, long, thin, knitted scarf is just the thing for the girlie girl in you. It is 94 inches long and 3 inches wide. It weighs 2.4 ounces. It is made from Yarn Bee Truffles in the color of Cameo. Cameo is a wonderful blending of pink, purple and blue colors. The yarn has lovely little fluffy spots and silky spots separated in a little ladder formation. It is 100 percent polyester yarn. It is hand washable in warm water. It is dry-cleanable with any solvent. No machine wash. No machine dry. No ironing. No chlorine bleach.

While making the other Cameo Truffles Scarf, my Mom informed me that long and thin was in for scarves. She insisted that I should make a long thin one out of this yarn because she loves this yarn as much as I do. It is beautiful.

Crocheted Blue Pull Through Hole Scarf

This crocheted scarf is the ultimate in soft warmth. It is 39 inches long and 7.5 inches wide. The hole that you pull the other side through is 9.5 inches from the end. It is 4.3 ounces. It is made with one strand of Red Heart Symphony in River Blue held together with one strand of Red Heart Super Saver in Soft Navy. The brushed acrylic in Symphony gives the Super Saver a wonderful softness. The Super Saver gives the Symphony the extra warmth that you need in a winter scarf. The extra width means that it can be folded over for even more warmth or it can cover your ears as well as your neck. It is 100 percent acrylic. I actually made this scarf with my niece Payton in mind last Christmas. However, I didn't get it done in time for Christmas.

I love this yarn. It is so soft. I had to find something to make with it. I really like a wide scarf, so, I made this one really wide.

Just in time for Labor Day, this crocheted scarf is coming out to party. It is made from Red Heart Super Saver in the color Stars and Stripes. Stars and Stripes is a red, white and blue multicolored yarn. It is 90 inches long and 3 inches wide. It weights 3.8 ounces. It is 100 percent acrylic. It is machine washable in warm water and machine dry-able. It is dry-cleanable. No ironing. No chlorine bleach.

This cute scarf is a pattern that I've made several times. Everyone that I've made one for has loved them. The scalloped edge is very nice.

Rhyolite Silver Pierced Earrings

This lovely pair of earrings are made with rhyolite and a silver hook. They are for pierced ears. They hang 2 inches from piercing hole in ear. They weigh 0.1 ounces, so are light on the ear.

Serpentine Necklace

This necklace is single strand. It is made of serpentine beads with a circular serpentine pendant and a lobster clasp closure. It is 24.5 inches long and the pendant hangs 2.5 inches beneath the strand. It has a solid feel to it at 3.8 ounces. It will look lovely on any woman but may slightly over whelm the smaller woman.

For most people it will fall at a good length to go above a v-neck shirt or just below the collar of a crew neck shirt. It has a very delicate look, so, would look best on a smaller sized woman.

Hello!

I have been knitting for 6 years. I taught myself from a CD presentation, so, I could make my niece a cardigan and hat. I was very happy to be welcoming the little sweetie into the world. I found out later that most people start with a simple scarf. I guess the lesson here is if no one tells you what you can't do then with enough determination you can do it.

I learned to crochet 3 years ago from a friend at work. I taught her a few things about knitting and in exchange she got me to stop hating that little hook. The crochet hook up until then was the bane of my existence. There were always patterns that I liked that were crochet only or had a crochet border. I just couldn't get that little hook to work right until she showed me the light.

I am just learning the art of jewelry making. I'm back to learning from books and the internet with this new creative field. I'm hoping to have more intricate designs as I learn more.

I really like new challenges with my crafting. As you may have noticed I seem to pick up a new crafting field about once every 3 years. I find that designing things makes me creatively happy. I love to learn and explore what I can do and I love sharing the new things that I have created with others. Until now I've only shared these creations with my close family and friends. I'm very happy to be extending my friends to include all of you!
